Airi is a Japanese/Taiwanese tattoo artist based in New Westminster, BC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and completed a year-long tattoo apprenticeship before beginning her career. Airi is multilingual and speaks Japanese, Mandarin, and English.

 

Her work focuses primarily on Japanese and Asian-inspired tattoos, from smaller charms and florals to large sleeve projects featuring subjects such as ladies, yokai, Noh masks, and traditional motifs like peonies, sakuras, lotus, chrysanthemums, dragons, tigers, fu dogs, koi, snakes and Ghibli designs. She enjoys incorporating both black & grey and colour into her designs. Airi is currently most interested in working on large-scale Asian and floral sleeve projects.
